Managing your fleet
After you have started building your fleet, there are multiple ways to manage and improve your fleet. First off, there is the Dock menu. From here, you can see all of the ships you have aquired. The image below shows the Dock menu. The color behind each portrait denotes the rarity of the ship, the icon in the upper-left of each portrait denotes the type of ship, and the number in the upper-right of each portrait is that ship's level. The bar across the portrait shows where that ship is currently.
Another way to manage your fleet is through the Storage menu. As you progress through the game, you will aquire various equipments for your ship as well as miscellaneous items to upgrade your ship. The image below shows the Storage menu, with three tabs at the bottom for Designs, Gear, and Items. The Designs tab is for equipment blueprints that you gather from the game. When you get enough of a certain type you can combine them into an equipment item. The Gear tab is for all of the equipment you have for your various ships. You can freely swap equipment between ships. The Items tab is for all of the miscellaneous items, such as skill books, gear plates, wisdom cubes, and gear boxes.
One way to keep track of which ships you have and which ones you need is through the Archives menu. Here you can see how to obtain a certain ship and any ships you already have. There are three tabs at the top; Common, Collabs, and Research. The Common tab is for any ship that is available in the game through events or normal gameplay. The Collabs tab is special and only shows ships that are obtainable through a collaboration event. The Research tab shows very special ships that are only obtainable through extensive research that requires a decent amount of time and resources to complete.
Once you have aquired your ships and geared them up, you are ready to set out. The image below shows the Formation menu where you can set up your ships before you head out. The top right of the menu shows the different stats for your entire fleet; Firepower (FP), Torpedo (TRP), Anti-air (AA), Aviation (AVI), and how much Oil your fleet will consume on each sortie.
