Research
The collaboration with Wargaming brough a new feature to Azur Lane; "Research". Through research, players can obtain powerful ships that were planned for construction but never released. These new ships are some of the most powerful ships in the game and require a huge amount of time and resources to aquire. The first season of research introduced the HMS Monarch, HMS Neptune, IJN Izumo, IJN Ibuki, KMS Roon, and FFNF Saint Louis. The second season of research introduced the USS Seattle, USS Georgia, IJN Kitakaze, IJN Azuma, KMS Friedrich der Grosse, and MNF Gascogne.
